A Message from the President

Families, Friends, and Alumni,

 

Thank you for visiting our website. While it will never replace an in-person visit to our campus, we hope you find the resources informative, helpful, and inspiring. Marian Catholic has much to be proud of: dedicated faculty and staff, high-achieving students, accomplished alumni, and a strong faith community.

 

Marian Catholic approaches education differently. While we are a college preparatory institution, college admittance is not the end goal. We teach our students to work hard, study hard, play hard, and even pray hard, so they are fully prepared to succeed in college and beyond. Academics are a priority, but our culture of excellence extends to our winning athletic teams, competitive fine arts programs, and nationally-renowned band. Students can get involved in virtually any activity and have an opportunity to achieve. Our college counseling department works with our students from their first day to discern their personal goals and find the right school for them. Our graduates earn scholarships and course credit to give them a head start in college. I have heard countless times from alumni that their college classes were easy compared to Marian Catholic.

 

As a Catholic, Dominican institution, we also understand that success is not measured by grades and accolades alone. We believe that a rich faith life is essential for a student to thrive, so we instill the Dominican Pillars of Prayer, Study, Community, and Preaching into every aspect of our school community. As much as we test our students in the classroom, we also encourage them to grow with God, build character, and serve their community. We value our diversity because our students befriend and learn from peers of different socioeconomic, cultural, and racial backgrounds. They graduate having already wrestled with tough questions many don’t face until later in life, and they have done so with the loving guidance of their families and a faculty and staff who care deeply.

 

 

As Saint Catherine of Siena said, “Be who God meant you to be, and you will set the world on fire.” Realizing a student’s personal best requires a commitment from us, from the student, and from their family. However, we promise and our alumni can attest that, if you accept the challenge, you will succeed both at Marian Catholic and for a lifetime.
