softballSpartans (6-10) drop narrow decision to McNamara

Despite outhitting Bishop McNamara, 8-4, visiting Marian Catholic was unable to push across a run in a 2-0 nonconference setback on Wednesday in Kankakee. Marian (6-10) loaded the bases in the first inning, but was unable to break the ice.

Jessica Stickler, Ariana Lopez and Danielle Thieman each went 2-for-4 to pace the Spartan offense.

Junior Varsity: The Spartans (11-2) dropped an 8-1 decision to the Irish after allowing four runs in the first frame. Kai Cameron was 1-for-3 with the lone run for the Spartans.
